“education is our passport to the future” -malcolm x

Baba Amin Ojuok is a master educator, grassroots organizer, and Hip Hop activist with over 30 years of experience empowering Black youth and families through Afrikan-Centered solutions. He is the Founder of Uhuru Academy Education Solutions, Co-Founder of the UACI STEM Camp, and currently serves as Board President of the South Carolina Juneteenth Freedom Festival.

A published scholar with the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), Baba Amin co-authored “Utilizing African-Centered STEM Education to Inspire African-American Participation in STEM” alongside Dr. Oya Ma’at, Engineering Professor at Morgan State University. Their work centers culturally grounded education as a key to unlocking STEM excellence in our youth.

Baba Amin is also a force in independent Hip Hop. For over 25 years, he’s used the mic as a tool for liberation—executive producing revolutionary underground projects, performing across the country, and building platforms for young artists through initiatives like S.O.U.N’D., a free program that combined music training, mentorship, and life skills for emerging conscious Hip Hop artists.

Whether in classrooms, community centers, or behind the mic, Baba Amin’s mission remains the same: to educate, inspire, and uplift the global Afrikan family.
